Tussenstand WK Formule 1: Alonso ligt op de loer

De strijd op het Wereldkampioenschap Formula 1 spits zich toe tot RedBull en Ferrari. Webber gaat aan de leiding met 220 punten en leidt met 14 punten voorsprong op Vettel en Alonso. McLaren lijkt afgehaakt, maar met 25 punten per Grand Prix is het voor Lewis Hamilton en regerend F1 kampioen Jenson Button statistisch nog mogelijk.


Ook in de strijd om de constructeurstitel liep RedBull door de dubbelzege verder uit op McLaren en Ferrari. In de achterhoede vechten de nieuwkomers op de fel begeerde tiende plek in de stand. Tot nu toe heeft geen van de nieuwe Formule 1 equipes een punt kunnen bijschreven op hun conto.
