MACAU - Autosportfederatie FIA heeft een statement uitgebracht betreffende de heftige crash van Sophia Flörsch tijdens de F3 Macau World Cup. De zeventienjarige Duitse van Van Amersfoort Racing is, zo meldt het statement, bij bewustzijn en is naar het ziekenhuis overgebracht voor onderzoek. Ze vloog in de vierde ronde van de race in de hekken.
'A serious incident has occurred on lap 4 of the 2018 FIA F3 World Cup at Macau involving car #25 Sophia Flörsch (GER). Following evaluation by medical staff, the driver is conscious and has subsequently been taken to hospital for further evaluation', zo schrijft de FIA.
