Charles Leclerc razendsnelle leerling in GP3 test Abu Dhabi + UITSLAGEN

Charles Leclerc heeft bij zijn debuut in de GP3 gelijk van zich laten horen. De Monegask, die dit jaar in de FIA F3 zijn opleiding genoot bij Van Amersfoort Racing was de snelste coureur overall op dag 1 van de GP3 testen op het Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Leclerc achter het stuur bij ART Grand Prix noteerde in de middagsessie de beste rondetijd van de dag met: 1:55.209. Antonio Fuoco noteerde in de Trident-bolide de tweede tijd met 1:55.657 voor Jake Dennis, die met Arden International naar de derde dagtijd (1:55.760). Matthew Parry tekende in de ochtend voor de snelste tijd, maar was overall vierde. De Nederlander Steijn Schothorst was zevende in de ochtend en twaalfde in de middagsessie.
