Mark Webber (40 jaar) stopt ermee na dit seizoen! De ex-Red Bull F1-coureur begon zijn loopbaan in de karts en promoveerde in 1994 naar de Formule Ford. Via de Formule Ford, Formule 3, FIA GT en de Formula 3000 belandde Webber uiteindelijk in het jaar 2002 in de hoogste klasse van de autosport: de Formule 1. Hij won negen Grands Prix, maar moest meestal de tweede viool spelen. Het grootste succes uit zijn loopbaan was het behalen van het wereldkampioenschap in het FIA WEC met Porsche in de LMP1.
